Business Analyst - Custody Settlements & Collateral
$65k - $85k per month - dependent on experience
We are partnering with a premier global financial institution to find a meticulous and proactive Business Analyst with strong Custody Settlements and Collateral domain expertise.
In this role, you will work alongside Custody Product Owners, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to define, design, and deliver robust operational controls and product and process improvements across the bank's platforms and vendor systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess current Custody processes and lead the rollout of automated controls and checks to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
Convert business needs into clear requirements and solution designs, collaborating with Product, Operations, Technology, and vendors to drive improvements throughout the change lifecycle.
Define and document target‑state processes, control points, and operational readiness criteria for implementation.
Design documentations for Custody
Control documentation, reporting packs, issue logs, and decision records to ensure a robust audit trail and knowledge base
Support stakeholders in aligning with delivery plans by tracking actions, monitoring progress, and preparing materials for senior management updates.
Proactively manage follow‑ups to ensure milestones are achieved and dependencies are addressed.
Essential Experience and Skills:
Deep expertise in Custody Settlements, including trade lifecycle, matching and confirmation, fails management, corporate action impacts on settlement, and cash and stock reconciliation concepts; as well as Collateral, covering margining principles, collateral movements and substitutions, disputes, and exposure and eligibility considerations.
Experience in Asset Servicing, Securities Services, Custody Operations, or Product Change, or a similar financial services analyst role, with a strong focus on control and risk.
Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and ask targeted questions to develop end‑to‑end requirements and assess upstream and downstream impacts.
Strong skills in drafting detailed procedures, process maps, control reports, and operational documentation.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
Hands‑on experience using JIRA for requirements gathering and delivery tracking.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
