Job Summary

Assist the immediate manager in carrying out operational and development tasks in product development, ongoing product management, reinsurance and other ad‑hoc projects and analysis to facilitate business decision making. Lead junior colleagues to perform actuarial analyses and compile the actuarial pricing report for approval.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and conduct robust actuarial analysis on new business and product pricing under various financial reporting measures (including IFRS, TEV and HKRBC basis) for product feasibility studies and approval.
  • Prepare indicative pricing and assessment for the management team to support decision making.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on implications; prepare approval documents and facilitate approvals from local management and the regional office.
  • Review marketing materials and provisions to ensure appropriate policyholder messaging and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure the user acceptance test performed by the Actuarial Product Management team is in good standing before implementation.
  • Coordinate with local management, the regional office, distribution channels and other internal departments to support project initiatives through risk and financial analysis.
  • Provide actuarial support, recommendations and solutions to day‑to‑day operational issues and inquiries.
  • Ensure the quality of work produced by the team through supervision, guidance and coaching of subordinates on actuarial, product and insurance knowledge.
Qualifications
  • University graduate majoring in Actuarial Science or a related curriculum.
  • Fellow of the Societies of Actuaries or equivalent.
  • At least 4–6years of relevant actuarial working experience.
  • Experience in pricing or developing health protection pro職位s (e.g., medical reimbursement cover) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Solid actuarial knowledge and financial modeling skills.
  • Knowledge of Prophet model programming is preferred and stochastic modelling skills are desirable.
  • Experience coaching junior actuarial staff and managing a team.
