Accountant (State-Owned-Enterprise, 5 days work)

We are a subsidiary of Minmetals Land Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. We engage in curtain wall, glass & metal works and A&A construction business in Hong Kong and the PRC.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full sets of accounting duties, month-end closing with schedules.
• Collaborate with external auditors for smooth annual audits.
• Prepare annual budgets and conduct quarterly budget vs. actual analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including direct cash flow, forecasts, and schedules.
• Maintain and update the project cost contract ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with project budgets and timelines.
• Assist with project cost contract final account reconciliation.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
• Arrange payments for daily and construction operations and ensure strong internal controls.
• Record daily bank transactions in the treasury system and bank book, generate accurate reports.
• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong accounting standards (HKFRS) and tax regulations.
• Support ad-hoc tasks, such as preparing reports for headquarters or assisting with special projects.

Requirements:

• Degrees in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines.
• HKICPA or ACCA membership is an advantage but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Accountant role.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to meet tight deadlines independently.
• Proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, team player, high efficiency and communicative with a quick-learning mindset.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and accounting software (e.g., SAP); Chinese word processing is an advantage.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
• Immediate available is preferred
