Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Report to the golf course superintendent and manage the day-to-day operations of the golf course workshop, including scheduling maintenance tasks, overseeing equipment repairs, and coordinating the work of the maintenance team.
• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment, including but not limited to mowers, golf carts, tractors and golf club vehicles.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and liaise with vendors/distributors to maximize the lifespan and efficiency of golf course equipment and machinery.
• Collaborate with the golf course superintendent and other department managers to align maintenance activities with the course's operational needs.
• Monitor workshop budget and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and cost-savings.
• Oversee the inventory and procurement of parts, tools, and supplies needed for the workshop.
• Hire, train, and manage a team of skilled mechanics.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience managing a maintenance workshop, preferably in a golf course or similar outdoor recreational setting.
• Strong technical expertise in the maintenance and repair of golf course equipment, such as mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, golf carts and power tools.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting equipment manuals and schematics.
• Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management and procurement processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; and related technical/vocational training or certification
