Senior Officer, Finance Operations (Insurance)

Our client is a global insurer, seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to join the Finance Operations team. This role is crucial in managing end-to-end payment processing, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure accurate financial transactions and compliance with regulatory standards. The position is a 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent or being renewed.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute payment processing for policyholder claims, vendor payments, and internal financial transactions.
• Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring timely payments and reconciliation with vendors and service providers.
• Monitor and maintain the accounts receivable ledger, tracking incoming payments from policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accuracy between invoices, purchase orders, and payment records.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies related to financial transactions.
• Work closely with internal finance teams, auditors, and external stakeholders on financial reporting and operational improvements.
• Support ad hoc finance projects as assigned.

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in finance operations; working experience insurance sector is a must.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing workflows.
• Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP platforms) would be preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
