Manager, Communications and Public Affairs (Branding & Marketing) (Temporary Appointment) (Ref. 250610013)

[Appointment period: six months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to play an active role in strategic planning that supports institutional branding and marketing for advancing the Universitys reputation among target stakeholders.  He/ She will be required to:

(a) design and deliver innovative brand communications strategies and integrated marketing plans for the University, driving result-driven campaigns that leverage multiple capabilities to build brand awareness and advocacy among target audiences;

(b) lead and execute campaign-based marketing initiatives to meet the Universitys strategic priorities, from project management to seamless channel integration and optimisation;

(c) visualise the Universitys vision and mission, translating them into creative and engaging content across various formats, such as presentations, marketing messages, articles, videos and events to effectively communicate the brand and engage target audiences;

(d) measure, analyse and report on all campaign performance, assess ROI and KPIs, manage relevant marketing budgets, and recommend corrective actions as needed to optimise campaign effectiveness;

(e) support competitive benchmarking and provide data-driven insights and best practice for strategic shifts and decision-making;

(f) plan, organise and manage high-profile events and activities that enhance the Universitys brand visibility and engagement with stakeholders, including community outreach programmes; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree;

(b) at least six years of solid experience in branding, digital and marketing communications, preferably with solid experience in strategic planning and event management;

(c) strong business acumen and analytical skill;

(d) the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines;

(e) strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(f) the ability to build a close working relationship with multiple teams and individuals, as well as the ability to influence, persuade and engage stakeholders and peers.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
