Linux Production Engineer

Our client, an International investment business, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the infrastructure support team, youll have the opportunity to work with high-performance Linux-based trading and research platforms. The Linux Engineer will be involved in building, administering, upgrading, and supporting the Linux estate, as well as contributing to monitoring and automation initiatives. The role can be based in Hong Kong/ Singapore. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Building, administering, upgrading, and supporting our Linux-based platforms
• Monitoring and automation initiatives
• Collaborating with engineering teams to document and improve processes

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience working with Linux-based platforms with excellent Linux administration skills.
• Knowledge of RedHat and Centos
• Experience in end-to-end server deployments
• Familiarity with AMD/Intel server hardware and components
• Experience in designing and tuning low-latency server infrastructure
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of server network stack, network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP), LAN, and WAN technologies
• Familiarity with automation technologies (e.g., Ansible) is a plus
• Strong experience with Python and Bash scripting is a plus
• Previous experience in a buy-side environment is a nice to have but not essential
