Team Overview: The Developed Markets Team at a top-tier international bank is responsible for credit analysis and loan management across Australia, New Zealand, Korea, and Japan. This role will focus specifically on the Japanese market.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst at the VP-Director level to join. This position will involve comprehensive credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan evaluation for clients operating in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis and risk assessments for corporate clients in Japan.
- Evaluate financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and perform financial modeling.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and internal teams.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and presentations for senior management and credit committees.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the credit landscape.
- Collaborate with other teams across the Developed Markets region to ensure alignment and share best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience in credit analysis, risk management, or related roles, ideally within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of the Japanese credit market and economic environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Fluent in Japanese and English.
