What youll do:

• Handle general inquiries and IP consultation

• Promote and arrange the Centres services (patent search services, IP consultations, training sessions) and activities

• Conduct and deliver basic patent searches and advanced search and analysis under Senior consultant guidance

• Deliver basic IP training or advanced IP training under Senior consultant guidance

• Manage administrative, statistical and financial tasks, prepare relevant reports and meeting materials 

• Assist in the establishment of a new IP centre and its website, including planning the opening for the centre, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the set-up of the centre

• Liaise closely with government authorities to ensure that operational policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with the requirements

• Assist with other ad hoc tasks as and when required by the team

Youll be a good fit if you have/are: 

• At least 3 years of work experience, with a minimum of 2 year-experience in intellectual property services. 

• Experience in handling intellectual property consultations or conducting searches and analyses (search process including literature searches, patentability searches, technical subject matter searches, legal status searches, patent family searches, patent stability searches, patent infringement searches, and competitor patent analysis etc.) is preferred. 

• Background in science, biochemistry, biotechnology, engineering or relevant technical fields is required. 

• Ability to accurately assess client needs and issues.

• Strong project timeline management and quality control skills.

• Good organisational and coordination abilities.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.

• Preference for candidates with experience in related promotional or marketing services.

The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointees performance and the Councils development needs.
