Athlete Affairs Officer

The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Governments delivery agent to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSIs mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:

Reporting to the Assistant Athlete Affairs Managers, the Athlete Affairs Officer is responsible for the following duties:

• Assist the Assistant Athlete Affairs Managers in providing executive support for implementation and administration of athlete education programmes under the HKSI elite athletes lifestyle support system;
• Assist in providing study course information and general career education guidance to facilitate athletes dual career pathway development/ continuous learning while maintaining full-time training;
• Assist in administration and execution of education grant/ subsidy programmes;
• Assist in organization and implementation of talks/ briefing/ workshop;
• Assist in monitoring athletes study progress and coordination with other stakeholders including parents, coaches and schools;
• Maintain databases for athlete education information and compile statistical reports and data analysis;
• Perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff.

• A recognized university degree in related disciplines;
• A minimum of 2 years relevant working experience;
• Initiative-talking, fast learning and able to work independently with a keen sense of responsibility and effective communication & people skills and problem-solving skills;
• Proficient in computer skills;
• Awareness/ Knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
