Associate/Analyst, Corporate Finance

Description:

KDB is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join its Hong Kong office, KDB Asia. KDB, which is wholly owned by Korean government, is one of the largest corporate banks in Korea. KDB Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary of KDB, is a Hong Kong incorporated bank with a restricted banking license and SFC licenses in Type 1, 4, 6 and 9. Both KDB and KDB Asia were Aa2 rated by Moodys.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare presentation, credit memo (including corporate credit analysis, Legal review) and marketing material mainly for leveraged finance and M&A advisory
• Develop and review financial models within broadly defined guidelines
• Support deal sourcing activities and client relationship management
• Participate and support daily execution works on various transactions
• Work on Korean documents and communicate in English

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of M&A and financing-related accounting and legal concepts preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a clear, enthusiastic and confident style
• Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrates high levels of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Native-level Korean proficiency and fluency in English (spoken and written)

Education / Experience:

• 2 ~ 5 years of experience in commercial bank, investment bank, accounting firm or asset management company
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or other relevant fields from a top-ranked university
• Exceptional candidates with strong academic backgrounds and relevant internship or project experience will also be considered for Analyst position
