Senior Merchandiser ( Cut & Sewn Knit)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Garment Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in business development, cost control, and profit improvement . You will be responsible for supervising and monitoring subordinates, ensuring timely execution of orders, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong costing and negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and deep technical knowledge of garment manufacturing, knit fabrics, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Strategy & Growth: Collaborate with the manager to develop and implement business strategies to expand the companys market share and profitability.

• Team Supervision: Oversee and guide junior merchandisers and subordinates to ensure on-time delivery as per planned schedules.

• Cost Control & Profit Improvement: Monitor production costs, optimize expenses, and negotiate with suppliers to maximize profit margins.

• Costing & Quotation: Prepare accurate costing sheets and quotations for customers, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.

• Supplier & Factory Coordination: Resolve production and quality-related issues with suppliers and factories to ensure smooth operations.

• Time Management: Ensure all order follow-ups, approvals, and shipments are executed on schedule with a result-driven approach.

• Technical Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of garment construction, knit fabrics, trims, and production processes to ensure product quality and feasibility.

• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to production delays, quality defects, and logistics challenges.

• Communication & Leadership: Maintain clear and professional communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams. Lead and motivate the merchandising team to achieve targets.

 Requirements:

 * Minimum 8 years merchandising experience in Cut & Sewn  casual & performance wear. Less experiences will be considered as Merchandiser.* Good communication skills with cross functional partners* Able to provide constructive solutions and directions for manufacturer to improve fit, construction, product appearance and cost* Strong analytical skills to solve complex technical problems which have impact to the business* Fluent written and spoken English & Chinese* Proficient in Microsoft application, eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint* Experience in factory manufacturing is preferable* Good teamwork , result oriented and good time management in project execution* Passion in Garment Manufacturing Industry
