Job Duties:
- Develop communications strategy and execution plans for Insurance to support their growth, primairly supporting CEO of HSBC Life Hong Kong; the roleholder will also support the Senior Communications Manager, Insurance and Asset Management to provide communications counsel and support to CEO, Insurance, and also relevant Insurance EXCO members and spokespeople/leaders as well as local CEOs.
- Execute a proactive media strategy across international, regional and HK media to raise profile, promote products and services of Insurance as well as to strengthen thought leadership in the region
- Deliver strong and engaging content to build the profile of Insurance across external and internal audiences
- Support leadership communications and deliver complementary employee communications encompassing a variety of audiences within the HSBC Group to raise employee awareness and enhance engagement with business priorities
- Handle ongoing media enquiries in relation to Insurance and mitigage reputational risk that may arise from issues
- Work closely with global IWPB Communications and Group Communications to roll out relevant campaigns
- Build strong relationships with Insurance, as well as the IWPB communication network and supporting them with useful, relevant and timely tools, guidance and content
- Use insights and feedback to inform the communications planning and execution across various internal and interlocking audiences and via a range of channels
- Support the delivery of robust external communications on Insurance, to amplify their roles in HSBCs wealth strategy
- Develop and package compelling content and messages to engage media and employees about our business priorities, aligned to our purpose, strategy and values, promote employer advocacy and help build Purpose and Value
- Generate postive media coverage through compaign, product launches and media interviews to communicate our key business strategy and progress
Bring creativity to formats/delivery of content and activities to best engage a diverse workforce
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, champions, advocates and colleagues to enable effective execution of communication plans for Insurance/IWPB
- Share best practices and broaden knowledge with the global network
- Anticipate and identify issues that require a communications response and marshal team resources to deliver effective communications
- Personally demonstrate a high standard of HSBCs values
Requirement
- Solid work experience in media relations in particular local Hong Kong media; experience in regional and international media an added advantage
- Experience in the insurance industry an advantage
- Experience in building strong stakeholder relationships at all levels and in managing a wide range of internal stakeholders relationships, including by matrix and virtually
- Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
- Exceptional writing ability, particularly in developing short, fresh content using simple language and for use by leaders in different formats and across multiple channels, including digital channels
- Experience of social media an advantage, including developing social media assets
- Strong event/project management skills
- Can work independently and also act as a good team player
