HR Operations Team Lead - International Financial Services

Our client is a well-established corporation, with Asia head office in Hong Kong and a strong international presence.

To enhance and elevate their HR shared services function, they are looking for a seasoned, sophisticated, resilient HR Lead to manage their operations team, currently with 3 people supporting the function. You will be part of the team to go through transformation journey, together with the wider HR counterparts.

To enhance and elevate their HR Operations function, they are looking for a seasoned, sophisticated, resilient HR Lead to manage their operations team, currently with 4 people supporting the function. You will be developing the team, elevate your teams performance and efficiency, and ensuring the utilization of Workday across the business.

Description

  • Act as the Head of HR Shared Services team to ensure smooth delivery of entire employee life cycle from recruitment operation, onboarding, benefits process, employee data management, payroll management, international mobility, visa applications, offboarding, etc. with a high volume of ins & outs
  • Oversees HR Operations team of 4-5 in Hong Kong Office, including staffing, planning and assigning work to team members, handling escalations, trouble-shooting and performance management.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of delivery by regularly auditing and implementing checking mechanisms and quality controls.
  • Review and standardize job instructions, process, and systems documentation.
  • Analyze internal process and procedures and formulate and recommend proper changes and process streamlining as needed
  • Performs work that involves conventional HR practices but may include a variety of complex situations and issues.

Profile

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese with strong communications, interpersonal and presentation skills to work in a multinational environment; Cantonese is a must
  • At least 10 years of HR operations / shared services experience with at least 3 years in a team leader/ manager role.
  • Candidates with working experience in sizable, matrixed and complex organization, experience in financial services / insurance industries is a must
  • Familiar with Hong Kong labour ordinance and regulations
  • Detailed-minded, process focused and well organized, able to handle high volume of HR operation transactions
  • Degree holder in Human Resources / Business Management or related disciplines
  • Positive, people oriented and a good team player
