Working Patterns:
We also support business-efficient flexible working. Business needs determine whether a role can be done flexibly. Security considerations however mean we are unable to support the provision of IT for hybrid working. Flexible working arrangements can include part-time, flexitime, job sharing and working compressed hours. These would need to be discussed and agreed with Line Manager.
Eligibility:
This position is open to Hong Kong permanent residents, and partners/dependents of UK-based diplomatic staff currently posted in Hong Kong who meet the advertised job criteria. Candidates must have or be able to obtain work authorisation for Hong Kong without sponsorship in order to apply. Employment offers are subject to successful clearance of pre-employment checks. No accommodation or relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position.
Start Date:
The start date mentioned in the job advert is a tentative start date and the successful candidate will be required to undergo security vetting procedures. Any offer of employment will be subject to the candidate achieving suitable clearances.
Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary may have their salaries reduced by the equivalent local income tax amount.
The jobholder may be required to travel. Some work (including travel) will be required during the evenings and occasionally weekends, for which time off in lieu (where applicable) will be given.
The starting salary mentioned in the job advert is unnegotiable, and there is no additional commission or allowance for this position.
The FCDO also operates an agile workforce. To facilitate this, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.
