Responsibilities

The Trainee role is a full-time 24‑month contract with Societe Generale. You will have access to a diverse range of training materials covering technical skills, leadership development, communication, client service, and relationship management. The role requires full‑time availability throughout the contract.

Provide balanced and objective credit assessments for business requests.
Support the overall credit approval process for target corporate clients.
Back‑up support to the data analyst for internal reporting and statistics.
Perform credit analysis for corporate counterparts, prepare concise and well‑argued proposals for new requests and renewals.
Evaluate credit limits and recommend based on risk appetite and client profile.
Conduct regular and timely annual reviews and renewals of credit facilities.
Review and assess client obligor ratings annually or as required.
Improve credit file productivity and processing efficiency, responding promptly to requests.
Expedite and manage the credit approval process by liaising with approvers and RISQ officers.
Report significant business events, financial trends, industry developments, and other relevant issues.
Back up and support other credit analysts.
Assist in special projects or assignments as requested by the team head.

Reporting & Analytics

Support week deal flow generation, annual review tracking, credit volume statistics, and portfolio analytics.
Act as a back‑up to the data analyst within CPM.
Monitor credit exposure, overshoots, concentration risk, financial covenants, and credit conditions; verify data and support related reporting requirements.

Other Requirements

Comply with applicable internal credit policies, procedures, and the bank’s code of conduct.
Maintain a high level of personal integrity and uphold the bank’s ethical standards.

Required Profile

Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. MBA, CFA, CPA, FRM or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in credit risk analysis or as an assistant corporate relationship manager is a plus.
Solid accounting, corporate finance, and credit analysis skills.
Strong problem‑solving ability with analytical thinking.
Good knowledge of data analytics.
Quick learner and ability to multi‑task.
Attention to detail and self‑checking skills.
Basic knowledge of bank products, especially commercial/transaction banking and treasury products.
Basic knowledge of regulatory and business environment in Greater China.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, VBA, Access, PowerPoint); Copilot required.
Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese (both speaking and writing) mandatory; French is a plus.
