Associate VP (Finance) - Hays

Overview

We are seeking a junior banker with relevant experience in covering funds finance and financial sponsors to join the well-established team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of global funds, providing tailored structured fund finance solutions, and ensuring exceptional client service.

Your New Role:

• Maintain strong relationships with existing funds and financial sponsors, assisting the RM in identifying new business opportunities and expanding cooperation with current clients.
• Support the RM in acquiring new client relationships within the global funds and financial sponsors segment.
• Handle account setup, KYC/AML monitoring, and daily client interactions.
• Assist the RM in cross-selling banking products, including deposits, bilateral and syndicated loan facilities, DCM, transaction banking (cash and trade), Global Markets, and promote business opportunities within UOBs global network.
• Understand clients needs and credit standings, assist the RM in negotiating facility terms, and complete credit proposals to meet departmental targets.

What youll need to succeed:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin. or relevant concentrations
• Ideally 5 years client coverage experiences in global funds OR financial sponsors OR FIG client segments
• Licensing Requirements: HKMA Type 1 & 4 is neccessary;
• Sound credit and business knowledge in global funds & financial sponsors client segment
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
