Our client, a global investment bank, is actively seeking an experienced java developer to join their equities technology team in 香港. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background in Java or C# and a sound understanding of equities.

The role:
  • Develop, maintain and enhance low-latency, front-office equities systems (pricing, risk, algo execution, market data) using Java. Work closely with traders, quants and infrastructure to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.
  • Build and optimize low-latency, high-throughput components (market data handlers, order management, FIX adapters).
  • Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers and quantitative developers to translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Profile, debug and tune JVM performance (GC, threading, memory) to meet SLAs.
  • Write clean, well-documented code, unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Deploy and support applications in production; respond to incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Integrate with third-party services and protocols (FIX, FAST, SBE, Kafka, Redis, SQL/NoSQL).
  • Contribute to system architecture, technical roadmaps and automation (CI/CD).
What you offer:
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 6+ years professional Java or C# development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of concurrent programming, networking and low-latency design patterns.
  • Experience with FIX protocol and exchange market data feeds preferred.
  • Proven skills profiling and tuning JVM performance.
  • Familiarity with SQL and at least one NoSQL store.
  • Excellent communication skills; experience working directly with front-office stakeholders.
  • Experience in equities derivatives/pricing, execution algorithms or market microstructure.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with automated testing
